mockup structure of where members work page
update: blog post/discussion of our intentions and what it means to be in spark after USC, how the values translate outside of college- why we’re not like other clubs
— reason behind the layout, why we are not focusing on the companies; the work our alumni do/have done can’t be reduced to a logo––intersectional and ever-changing
—> instead of the logos, we could just have an alumni page with what they’ve been doing or where they work, so it’s the person before the firm/logo (gallery views) - where they work doesn’t define them (need to click on the face first instead of the other way around where the logo/workplace overheads the person)
- Make this into the alumni page

- DM on Instagram here https://www.instagram.com/lelandtheiv/?hl=en
- Leland enjoys chasing unique experiences to immerse himself across the globe. While at USC, he spent time interning in startups in SF, NYC, and LA. After graduation, he found himself curious to experience tech abroad, which led him to 3 fun years working in Bangkok for a consulting startup implementing CRM systems for corporates. Having an itch to stay abroad but also gain product experience, he moved to Berlin with only a suitcase and no job, but soon found one at a hardware startup, Nepos, as a product owner for a tablet for seniors.
- While learning the ropes of product, he hired his first coach and discovered the fascinating world of coaching, which led him to work at Berlin coaching startup, Sharpist, where he continued to refine his product management chops. Now he’s working at GoStudent as an early product manager hire where he’s working on building a global school through peer-to-peer learning. He’s really excited to work and travel at any one of GoStudent’s 22 international offices. His ultimate goal is to combine his previous experiences and start his own company in the peer-to-peer learning space to help guide individuals discover their true path. Leland is currently in training to be a certified life coach. In his free time he goes on surf trips and DJs 90s house music on vinyl.

—> adding on to alex’s map idea: we could do a world map graphic and have arrows pointing out for a few places with a little annotation of what an alum has done (or is doing) there — would need to work for graphics for that (or just have the whole map colored in and say : we’re everywhere lol); we could also include what people did and where they went to do it during their gap sems
- @Beez can illustrate, no need to bug graphics
- “We’re everywhere, doing all sorts of things”
pls not this (lol) : https://www.180degreesusc.org/where-we-go
vision: not intimidating (!!!) and not visual barf (need legibility)
